Haikou's first batch of volcanic lychees exports this year Thailand starts its seasonal lychees export craze

Packing and handling, adding ice to keep fresh, loading and leaving... On the afternoon of May 13, the first launch ceremony of Haikou volcanic lychee export in Thailand was held at the Hainan Hongming Agricultural Products (Lychee) Trading Center. A fresh-keeping transport truck carrying 13.5 tons of "Faizixiao" will be set off and will be exported to Thailand through the Mohan Port in Yunnan. This is the first batch of lychees exported by local enterprises in Haikou this year, and it has officially started the craze for exporting lychees that season.

The "Faizixiao" exported this time is the main planting variety of Haikou volcanic lychees. After this launch ceremony, it will be sent to Thailand at a frequency of about 15 tons per day, and the export period will last until early June. At that time, the nutritious and sweet taste of Haikou volcanic lychees will bring authentic coconut city flavor to the Thai people.

"The purchase price of lychees exported to Thailand is 6 to 8 yuan higher than that of ordinary lychees. At present, Thailand's sales price per kilogram is about 43 yuan. In the case of large-scale exports, the income of local lychees farmers in Haikou will increase." Li Bin, head of Hainan Lianyue International Trade Co., Ltd., introduced that the company mainly engages in two single products: lychees and pineapples. This time, it cooperates with Hainan Haiken Hongming Farm to actively connect with local Thai supermarkets and markets, so that the fresh Haikou volcanic lychees will be sold to Thailand and other places.

According to statistics, the planting area of Haikou volcanic lychee has reached 149,200 mu, and the main cultivated varieties are "Faizixiao", lychee king, Xiantao lychee, etc. The estimated output this year can reach 77,000 tons, with a total output value of about 1.3 billion yuan. A relevant person in charge of the Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau said that in the next step, we will work with local associations and enterprises to build a bridge between "small farmers" and "big markets", actively open up markets such as Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States, and create special products based on the consumption characteristics of various countries, and further expand the popularity, reputation and influence of "Coconut City Xiangjian".
